Chemonics International
I have worked as a tourism consultant for Chemonics International, a world renowned firm in charge of implementing important programs for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in the Dominican Republic.
I have provided my experience and insight in advising tourism organizations on how to better promote themselves and be more competitive. For the central region of the Dominican Republic, I have helped Constanza's entrepreneurs to identify tourism opportunities and how to link this agricultural region to the tourism poles in the East and North Coast.
USAID published my paper on how to make Bavaro-Punta Cana more competitive. It can be seen here

Haiti Earthquake Relief
After the catastrophic earthquake in Haiti on January 2010, I was asked by Chemonics to step in to help coordinate efforts so immediate relief was made available to help alleviate the disastrous situation. In coordination with the DR-CAFTA office and with senior staff send from the Washington D.C. office, personnel and goods were organized to go across the border in the middle of a difficult and often confusing situation. Later on, one of the tasks included finding and shipping seeds that were later provided to the farmers to start growing crops to feed the population, and also to provide fertilizers and lab tests to assure purity and quality for a continuing success of the program.
